Articles of association


  • Membership in the Network does not create an agency, partnership, franchise or joint venture between member firms and the Network and/or its members.
    Legal services rendered by member firms are rendered in the name of the members’ name. Meditlegal shall not receive compensation of any kind for facilitating referrals.
  • Meditlegal firms are entirely independent of one another, the members pay no referral fees to one another.
  • Each member agrees to provide referred clients timely and quality legal service at a competitive rate by lawyers knowledgeable in their legal specialty.
  • Member firms receiving instructions must acknowledge the referrals to the referring firms and client as soon as possible. Member firms agree to regularly communicate with all clients concerning the status of their matter.
  • Membership in Meditlegal is by invitation only: to retain their membership firms must demonstrate a consistent record of client satisfaction.
  • Member firms may terminate membership on a 30 day notice.
  • Meditelegal is non exclusive, participation in regional and practice-specific networks is encouraged, and each member is free to call on other members. Any firm may continue to make referrals outside Meditlegal if it wishes.
  • Members of Meditlegal agree that the ideas, stories, issues, concerns and information exchanged between and among members are confidential to members and are not to be disclosed to non members.
  • Each member firm must be willing to become active in the network to further its goals including: sharing expertise, implementing a lawyer exchange program, acting a speaker at meetings, attend meetings regularly, participate on Meditlegal committees, make and accept referrals to/from other members.
  • The members accept to extend office courtesies in their respective cities, depending on office availability, when representative of the other firm are visiting such cities.
